STOP HAZARDOUS LEAKS IN SECONDS!

MAGNASEAL is a unique patented magnetic urethane sheet that is the safest, most effective and efficient way to stop or prevent leaks of hazardous materials.

MAGNASEAL Features

s

IMPROVE SAFETY

Responders can apply the MAGNASEAL Leak Patch with minimal exposure to chemical products.

REDUCE COSTS

MAGNASEAL products are a fraction of the cost compared to the cost of a spill – cost of cleanup, loss of product, downtime, fines, and litigation.

R

INCREASE EFFECTIVENESS

The MAGNASEAL Leak Patch is designed to be flexible and conform to the shape of the breached vessel.

REDUCE TIME

First Responders can apply the MAGNASEAL Leak patch immediately, staunching the flow until the Hazardous Materials Response Team arrives.

INCREASE EFFICIENCY

The MAGNASEAL Leak Patch is a single person application and far more effective than traditional methods such as wooden pegs & putty, ratcheting bladder systems, and other cumbersome and complicated magnetic devices.

HELP THE ENVIRONMENT

MAGNASEAL products help Responders minimize soil and water contamination affecting human, animal, and marine life.

MAGNASEAL Success Stories

A Steel Manufacturing Facility had a side-wall leak in a lined, steel, vertical storage tank containing a mixture of nitric acid and hydrofluoric acid.

An 18” x 18” MAGNASEAL was applied as a temporary emergency response patch.  The plant kept that patch on the tank for several weeks until its scheduled maintenance outage.  This use of a MAGNASEAL allowed this steel manufacturer to stay in production instead of stopping its operations to deal with the leaking acid storage tank.

A Propane Tank Car was involved in a derailment, and it was breached at a very low point in the tank car. The flammable gas never ignited, and there was autorefrigerated liquid propane remaining in the bottom of the breached tank car. Flammable vapors were present within the wreckage work area and continued to migrate from the hole in the car.

A 24” x 24” MAGNASEAL was applied over the breach to minimize the volume of flammable vapors being released from the car. Likewise, nitrogen gas was later swept through the damaged propane car to purge the remaining propane out to a remotely positioned flare stand deployment. This use of a MAGNASEAL minimized propane and nitrogen gases released to the work area and maximized those gases being routed through a remotely placed flare stand deployment.

A Chlorine Manufacturing Facility had a corrosion leak in the bottom of an elevated process tank containing 70% sodium hydroxide at 200°F temperature.

An 18” x 18” MAGNASEAL was applied as a temporary emergency response patch. The plant kept that patch on the tank for approximately 3 weeks until its scheduled maintenance outage. This use of a MAGNASEAL allowed this chemical manufacturer to stay in production instead of stopping its operations to deal with the leaking caustic process tank.

A Propane Tank Car was involved in a derailment, and it was breached and burning from a hole in its vapor space. After remaining autorefrigerated liquid was removed from the car, it needed to be completely purged with nitrogen to prepare it for safe torch cutting for scrap metal recycling.

A 24” x 24” MAGNASEAL was applied over the breach once nitrogen purging was initiated and the fire was snuffed out. As nitrogen gas was swept through the damaged propane car, this use of a MAGNASEAL minimized propane and nitrogen gases released to the work area, and maximized those gases being routed through a remotely placed flare stand deployment.

A new Pipeline Construction Project uncovered an unidentified, abandoned, 8” diameter pipe line that was corroded and leaking crude oil within an open excavation, and that crude oil leak was impacting perched water and soils within that work area.

An 8” x 8” MAGNASEAL was applied to the leaking pipe to stop the crude oil leak while the spill-impacted perched water and affected soil was remediated. The pipeline was tapped and drained, and the MAGNASEAL unit held the crude oil through line draining and remediation activities.

A Locomotive Unit operating within a rail yard struck metal debris that was fouling the tracks resulting in a breached diesel fuel tank and fuel spillage.

An 18” x 18” MAGNASEAL unit was applied over the breach to stop the leaking fuel and substantially minimize environmental impact and associated response and remediation costs.

A Locomotive Unit operating within a rail yard was involved in a side-swipe incident while operating through a switch.  The sight glass on its fuel tank was sheared off the fuel tank resulting in a fuel leak.

A 12” x 12” MAGNASEAL unit was applied over the two sight glass ports to stop the leaking fuel and support the locomotive to be moved to a nearby siding track without any additional fuel spillage.
